Die Lokwerkstatt am Standort Halle existiert seit 1915. Nun hat die DB Cargo für rund 26 Millionen Euro in eine moderne Fahrzeughalle investiert. Am Standort werden Triebfahrzeuge von DB Cargo und weiterer Eisenbahnverkehrsunternehmen (EVU) instandgehalten. Die Werkstatt verfügt über sechs Arbeitsstände. Künftig sorgen 75 Beschäftigte dafür, dass pro Woche durchschnittlich 25 Lokomotiven untersucht, gewartet und repariert werden.
